What's useful to include
What kind of operation you run
Vehicle count, service types, and who your customers are. Charter, shuttle, paratransit, contracted transit — they're different problems.
What's actually going on
A bid you're chasing, margin that's slipping, a launch coming up, a team that needs training, vehicles to spec, or an electrification plan that needs a reality check. Plain language is fine. You don't need a scope of work.
Your timing
A bid due in three weeks and a cost problem you've had for two years call for very different conversations.
