What the work covers
Procurement through to release.
Six areas, usually engaged together across a vehicle order: from writing the spec to signing the release form on the last bus off the line.
OEM oversight
Direct coordination with the manufacturer through the build — production schedule tracking, engineering change review, and a single point of accountability between the agency and the factory floor.
In-plant inspection & QA/QC
First-article and production-run inspection at the OEM facility. Specification compliance checks, serialized component tracking and verification, structural and water-leak test monitoring, engineering change review, and nonconformance documentation.
Daily and weekly production reports keep the agency current on line status without waiting for a formal milestone.
Acceptance & commissioning
Road testing, defect and punch-list management, corrective-action verification, and final acceptance — the vehicle isn't released until the paperwork and the vehicle agree.
Fleet electrification
Route energy modeling, charger sizing and siting, utility interconnection and make-ready timelines, depot layout, and phasing that keeps service running while the fleet turns over.
Vendor management
Warranty tracking, parts and technical-support escalation, and OEM performance accountability for the life of the contract — not just through delivery.
Accessibility
ADA compliance gets verified, not assumed.
Wheelchair lift and ramp function, securement system testing, accessible boarding sequence, kneeling and ramp-deployment cycles, and passenger safety systems get checked as part of acceptance — not left for the agency to discover in service.
